All bats used by the Fleischmanns M.A.C. in vintage base ball games are hand-turned by the legendary Archie "Sawmill" Biruk - a player on the M.A.C. and son of the owner of Biruk Lumber - a custom wood products manufacturer in Halcottsville, NY. Each bat is turned from carefully selected hardwoods that grow just right here in the Catskill Mountains such as white ash, hard maple and even black cherry (not recommended for fast pitch). In fact, Louisville Slugger used to own 11,000 acres of land in these mountains for the quality of wood they provide for bat-making. Each bat is honed from a split of wood, dried and lathed down to your custom specs and stamped with the "M.A.C. Bat Co. 1895" Diamond Logo. Price includes free shipping.
